Raygun on ebay

So, most of the stuff I see on eBay is very amateurish and mostly completely unenjoyable stuff.

So, I'm going to start posting 'gems' that I see up on the forum, others can feel free to do the same

Today's auction is a raygun.

I really do like the artist's design, and it looks well made

Discreetly signed by the artist, this gun is the 'Dark Matter' model, named for the 'dark matter' power cell on top, to vaporize Martians with the rare substance sought throughout the galaxy as a power source. Made with aluminum, brass, copper, glass... the only thing painted is the baked-on black finish on the handle that was already on the curved aluminum that I used. NOT CHEAPLY ASSEMBLED! Most of the gun is assembled with threads tapped and fastened with discreet rivet-looking machine screws. Anything that couldn't be threadded or sweat soldered is fastened with J-B Weld on a properly scuffed surface... it 'aint commin' apart! The barrel does unscrew as I planned on making different interchaingable barrels, but never found suitable materials. SPEAKING OF MATERIALS, you will be hard pressed to identify one or ANY part on this gun. I purposely used and modded materials that do NOT look like somebody strolled down the hardware store isle and bought detail pieces off the shelves. (I hate that, don't you?) The glass vials are removable and interchaingable in 4 different colors. The liquid is micro ammounts of harmless dish soap, cough syrup, window cleaner, etc... as I didn't like how food color water failed to look so rich & deep. The trigger does NOT work, but the lever on the left side does move. This item is solid and heavy. If you break a glass vial down the road, or you want more vials in certain colors to go with a costume, I am always willing to work with you.

I particularly enjoyed the 'dont like how many seem to just go to hardware store and bang stuff together' because its so true its funny.
